Absinthe

Very bitter-tasting herb, which is collected along country roads. Absinthe contains an essential oil that stimulates the nerve centers and is used, in small doses, to prepare liqueurs and aperitifs. Absinthe, as a real liqueur, appeared in France at the end of the eighteenth century, where it caused phenomena of intoxication, so much so that it was then prohibited.
