Angostura

Infusion with a very bitter flavor and dark color, obtained from a Venezuelan plant that thrives at the sources of the Orinoco. The name angostura derives from the ancient city of the same name, from which it comes; today, however, this infusion is mainly prepared in Trinidad. Angostura is used almost exclusively for the preparation of cocktails, in very small doses. It has a very high alcohol content (about 70%).
