Apricot

Summer fruit, with a very sweet light orange pulp, like the skin, of which there are many varieties. The name apricot derives from "al-barquq", a term with which it was baptized by the Arabs. It is a fruit grown in countries with a warm climate and the Italian regions where it is most widespread are Campania and Emilia Romagna.

Apricot, which appears on the market from the beginning of June until August, is highly appreciated as a fruit and used in the kitchen for various sweets and sometimes even savory preparations.
