Benedectine

Bénédectine is a French liqueur, born around 1500 by an Italian Benedictine friar who gave the liqueur the name of his order. It is composed of twenty-seven herbs, mostly collected on the cliffs of Normandy. The liqueur must age for a long time in oak barrels before being bottled. It is considered an excellent digestive, as well as an ingredient in various cocktails.
