Blackberry

Blackberry is the bramble's fruit, a shrub that grows wild in Italy, while it is cultivated in the United States, England and Eastern countries. The berry is composed of tiny drupes which, when ripe, take on an almost black and shiny color.

Raspberry, blueberry, currant and blackberry make up the group of the so-called wild berries, usually served at the end of a meal as a fresh dessert. Blackberry is a fruit also used in the confectionery industry for cakes, ice creams, sorbets, jams and syrups.
