Cashew

The cashew is a large tree that grows in Brazil (where it is called cajueiro) and produces very characteristic apple-shaped berries, attached to which there is the actual fruit consisting of a casing containing a white almond, about 1 inch long. The latter, salted or toasted, is now widespread all over the world. It is excellent for an aperitif.
