Cauldron

The cauldron is a non-tinned copper container generally used to cook polenta. It has a concave and rounded bottom to allow perfect mixing of the ingredients. This pot was used above all in the countryside and its ideal location is the fireplace. However, it can also be used on the gas stove, although in this case the heat has a less uniform distribution. Today there are also electric cauldrons with a rotating blade driven by a motor.
