Chub

Chub is a freshwater fish belonging to the Cyprinid family, very common in Italy and throughout Europe. It does not have a great commercial value, especially since its meat is quite rich in bones. It has a fairly tapered body, large scales, a gray-brown back with green reflections and a silvery, almost white belly and sides. The chub can be grilled, keeping the scales that protect its skin, and peeled after cooking.
