Halibut

Halibut is a sea fish, belonging to the Pleuronettidae family, which lives mainly in the North Atlantic. It has an oval body and can reach two and a half meters in length. Halibut has greenish-brown skin, sometimes almost black on the ocular side and pearly-white on the blind side. The smaller specimens can be cooked like turbot, while the big ones are usually sold frozen in fillets.
