Macrolepiota excoriata

The Macrolepiota excoriata, is a mushroom that grows in meadows and in the open spaces of the woods. "Excoriata" comes from Latin and means flayed as, in fact, is the film of this mushroom. Its best season is between summer and autumn. It has a hat that reaches up to 6 inches in diameter, first ovoid, then convex and, finally, almost flat. Its flesh is white, tender and thin and is the only part of the mushroom used, the stem, however, is inedible.
