To boil

The verb to boil indicates a cooking method in water that can be used for almost all foods. The amount of liquid can vary according to the types of food.

For example, pasta requires a liter of water for every 100 g of product; vegetables require not too much water, while fish can be cooked with a small amount. For meat, however, special treatment is required.
