Cordial is a mostly alcoholic drink, of French origin, to which tonic virtues are attributed. It is said in fact that it "stimulates the heart", as the etymology of the word would suggest, from the Latin "cor". It has an intense aroma and a delicate taste. Coridal is generally drunk as a digestive.
