Crescentina is a typical Emilian preparation, similar to a light focaccia, prepared with flour, yeast, water, butter (or lard). The dough is then fried. With the same name there is a similar preparation in Tuscany where, however, the pieces of fried dough are sprinkled with salt or sugar.
