Octopus is a large cephalopod mollusk, equipped with eight tentacles, each one with a double row of suckers. Its body is shaped like a bag and can reach a length of three meters and a weight of 25 kilos.

The octopus meat is quite consistent, so much so that before cooking, it needs to be slightly defibrated with a mallet in order to make it more tender. It is excellent stewed.
