Rosemary

Rosemary is an evergreen aromatic shrub that grows wild in the Mediterranean area, especially along the coasts. The wooden twigs are covered with "needle-like" leaves of about 2-4 cm long and dark green on one side and whitish on the other. They have an intense scent, especially during summer.

Rosemary, along with sage, is perfect for flavouring roasts, both of meat and fish; its aroma also combines well with garlic, onion, thyme and marjoram.
