Sage is an aromatic plant that grows wild throughout the Mediterranean area but can be also cultivated. It looks like a small shrub, with silvery and velvety green leaves. It has an intense aroma, especially in early summer.

Along with rosemary it is the perfect combination of aromas for roasted meats, while alone it is used to flavour escalopes, offal and soups.
